The Village Voice wants you to party like a pirate tonight!
PIRATES of the AEGEAN is today's VOICE CHOICE.

"[J]oin in as The Stolen Chair Theatre Company puts on PIRATES of the AEGEAN, a Jack Sparrow-meets-Zeus benefit bash for their CineTheatre Tetralogy. Sip Captain's Blood and yo-ho-ho through an undergrounder pirate ship to the sounds of Friar Tuck. Been Jammin, and Shane Digital, and you might stumble upon a live sword fight. The fortune teller at the Delphic Oracle should also have some sage advice"
-Aracelli Cruz

Buy your tickets now! Presales close at 5pm!

Check out our piratical promotional photos here.

**Note: The map of the party location that appears on the flier was slightly off. The Underwater Lounge is located between Main Street and Dock Street and the map is now correct at www.partylikepirates.com. We'd been sending out a false map just t' throw the smarmy landlubbers off the scent, see, 'nd keep our treasure fer ourselves, and our parrots, arrr.**

"Putting the fun back in fundraiser..."
Stolen Chair's Jon Stancato moderates an NYtheatrecast on indie theatre fundraising

"Jon Stancato of Stolen Chair Theatre Company moderates a roundtable discussion about fundraising events for indie theater. The other panel members are Ralph Lewis of Peculiar Works Project, Jessica Davis-Irons of AndHOW Theatre Company, and Abby Marcus of Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company. This is a really interesting conversation, offering lots of insights about inventive and successful events that have worked for these companies in the past.

Ralph offers some particularly sound advice on this podcast, suggesting that indie theater artists need to attend fundraisers for other companies besides their own, both to see what works and also to learn about their colleagues in the community.

Stolen Chair’s fundraiser event for their upcoming show is on February 2, 2008 — Jon tells us about this event on the episode as well."
