Stage Kiss
"Love is a many gendered thing..."
May 3, 11-13, 18-20, & 25-27 at 8pm

Stolen Chair, one of NYtheatre.com's "People of the Year 2005," presents a follow-up to its critically acclaimed sold-out run of The Man Who Laughs (hailed as "Utterly tremendous" by TimeOut's Trav S.D. and "A triumph" by NYtheatre.com's Martin Denton).

Boy meets boy. Boy falls for boy. Turns out both guys are dolls. What's a girl to do? In Stage Kiss, a bawdy gender-bent romantic comedy in blank verse, love is blind...and lust is blinder.

Stolen Chair Summer Camp
July 10th-14th

Stolen Chair will be offering a one-week camp at the Kraine Theater in New York City's East Village. Members of Stolen Chair will introduce campers to a variety of physical theatre techniques, and even teach them how to collectively create their own original works of theatre.

This camp (for students currently enrolled in grades 5 through 9) will run from July 10th-14th (9am to noon), and will culminate in a workshop presentation where the campers will share the works-in-progress they have collectively created.

For a free brochure and application, please send a letter of inquiry to info@stolenchair.org.

The Man Who Laughs Published
June 15

June 15 is the target publication date of The Man Who Laughs, Stolen Chair's "utterly tremendous" live silent film for the stage, freely inspired by Victor Hugo's grotesque romance about a man whose face has been carved into a permanent smile, and the women who love him.

The script will be appearing in the New York Theatre Experience's Playing with Canons, an anthology of plays inspired by literary classics.
