Join us to celebrate the publishment of Kill Me Like You Mean It and Kinderspiel by United Stages

You’re invited to an exclusive event sponsored by United Stages. Come meet and mingle with a diverse and important group of small-venue performance movers and shakers as they celebrate this year’s publication of new plays from the vanguard of today’s New York theater scene.

New York Times writer Steven McElroy will host the festivities, original casts will read excerpts and United Stages founders Jonathan Reuning and Ian Marshall will be on hand to meet you and share their vision of a thriving united small-venue theater industry. The festivities begin at 6:15 on Thursday, May 29th, at The Drama Book Shop. We hope to see you there!

-Martin Denton, NYtheatre.com

Kill Me Like You Mean It Too

Last year's CineTheatre installment Kill Me Like You Mean It will be remounted for two performances (June 5 & 8 @ 8pm) at the Brick Theater's The Film Festival: A Theater Festival.

After a 100% sold-out critically acclaimed run in 2007, this visually stunning production will be restaged entirely behind a movie screen. Why bother mounting a live performance when the audience won't see it? Why bother doing anything?

We still need $1,000 more to pay for this show!

With a cast of eighteen, live music, and even a high seas naval battle, The Accidental Patriot is the largest scale project we’ve ever conceived.   It is also at least twice as expensive as our entire 5th season, in large part because we finally have the resources to begin paying our artistic collaborators for their work.

Box office income contributes only 1/4 of our operating budget.  Though support from the city and the state allows us to dream bigger, we still depend upon your support to transform our dreams into reality. We set an ambitious fundraising goal of $10,000 for this show and are only inches away from achieving it, but we'll need your help...

We hope you’ll consider offering your support for one of NYC’s most innovative independent theatre companies and make a tax-deductible donation today!
